Preventative

Preventative care focuses on maintaining proper oral and periodontal health. This includes professional cleanings every six months, or more, depending on your needs.

Cleanings

Cleanings are generally performed by a board-certified dental hygienist who is trained to help you maintain your oral health. The hygienist will use a variety of instruments to remove plaque, calculus, and other build up from hard to reach areas. During your cleaning, the dentist will perform a regular exam and consultation to ensure your entire mouth is healthy.

Digital X-Rays

Dentists use dental x-rays to view a precise image of the oral cavity. Minimal radiation is used to ensure a safe experience for the patient.

Fluoride

Fluoride can re-mineralize areas of teeth that have begun to decay and halt further progression of disease. Fluoride is present in toothpaste and can be applied in higher dosages in varnish and gels by a dental professional.

Mouth Guards

Athletic mouth guards that are form-fitted to the teeth prevent trauma to the teeth during athletic activity. Custom mouth guards fabricated from a dentist not only provide the best protection but also remain in place better which makes it easier to breathe and speak during athletic activity.
